Fernwae — A Decisions Company
Cookies
Updated October 6, 2026
Fernwae sets one cookie. It is there so the trip can tell your swipes apart from someone else on the same invite link, without asking you to create an account.
fernwae_person
- A random identifier, not your name.
- HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it.
- SameSite is Lax. On the live site it is also marked Secure.
- It lasts about 400 days, then the browser drops it.
What we do not set
There are no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. This cookie is required to keep a person attached to a trip. If you block or delete it, the next visit looks like a new person and earlier swipes stay with the old identifier.
You can remove it in your browser settings, under cookies for this site, by deleting fernwae_person.
